Can You Help Me Identify This Old Movie?
Just the other day I watched ‘Invasion Of The Body Snatchers’ (1954), and it creeped me out just as much as it did when I was a kid! However, I seemed to remember it differently, and think I’m confusing two different films…
Another one I can recall involved some mysterious quicksand that victims would fall into and emerge seemingly unscathed, but ‘different’; like they’d been taken over or possessed. The only clue was that they had a mysterious black hole behind their ear lobe. It was in the same vain as ‘Invasion….’ (i.e. Cold-War/Communism metaphor – paranoid battle between ‘them’ and ‘us’).
It was a very old film, in black and white, and for the life of me I cannot recall what it was called – but I’d be very grateful if anyone recognises this and could tell me the name of the film. I watched it a few times when I was about 5 years old (I’m only 22, it was an old film when I saw it), and I would love to see it again.
All thoughts greatly appreciated!

Sounds like "Invaders from Mars".

I think germaine is right;although i’ve searched for a half hour and can’t seem to find "invaders from mars" in the ’50s scifi movies.I thought James Whitmore was in it;but that was "Them" and that isn’t the movie your looking for.
